Welcome to the Athletics Bendigo Summer 2024-25 AVSL Competition Round 3 on 19 October 2024.

This week is PROGRAM ONE.

Program

Track Events

1:30pm – Hurdles – 110-80m (Hurdles to confirm 30 minutes prior to Start Time to assist set-up)
1:45pm – Walks – 1500,3000m
2:05pm – 100m Men
2:15pm – 100m Women
2.35pm – 1500m
4 x 100m – Relay club enters
3.20pm – 3000m, 5000m (non scoring)
3:45pm – 400m Men
4:00pm – 400m Women

Field Events

From 1:30pm:

• Shot Put
• Javelin
• Triple Jump
• Pole Vault (min height 1.55m)

Entry Fees:

• $0 for AV Registered and paid AVSL package.
• $26 Open AV registered but no AVSL package.
• $21 Under 20 AV registered but no AVSL package.
• $30 for Open non registered athletes.
• $25 for Under 20 but Over 11 non registered athletes.
• A ‘Trial Entry’ is for those that are not a member of Athletics Victoria currently nor have been in the past.
  Individuals, who are not a current member and have not been a member in the past. This is only for their 1st two competitions.
  Trial Athlete Open $20, Trial Athlete Under 18 $15

What is AVSL?

Contested during the summer season, this year from October 2024 to February 2025, the Athletics Victoria Shield League (AVSL) is Athletics Victoria’s summer track and field competition. With over 50 clubs and five AVSL divisions, clubs battle it out across ten rounds of AVSL to see who takes home the Shield, as well as promotion and relegation for the 2025/26 Season.

Each athlete can register for and compete in as many events as they wish. Athletes will be scored based on a performance scale, with a limited number of their best individual events plus one relay (when held) results counting towards their club’s overall score.

To compete in AVSL, an Athletics Victoria BASE membership, AVSL package, or MAX Package is required.
